The Constitution is clear that only Congress has the power to declare war. This is what makes us a democracy and ensures that our leaders fully consider the many costs of war before sending American troops into danger.

By unilaterally launching a war against Iran, Trump has violated the Constitution and flouted the will of the American people. A vote for President Trump’s Pentagon supplemental funding package would be a vote to commit the U.S. even further to this crisis.

Foreign policy must be guided by human rights and the rule of law. We must end U.S/Israel impunity to commit terror around the world and not be held accountable to crimes against humanity.

Israel has approved the Prisoner’s Execution Law. Its passing marks a dangerous and unprecedented escalation in Israel’s pursuit of Palestinian erasure. This is not a death penalty law. It is a death penalty for one people. This is the normalization of state-sanctioned execution within a system of racial discrimination, military occupation and settler colonialism. It is a means to further entrench apartheid, genocide and egregious human rights violations in law.
